Political leaders have been challenged not to engage in politics during the ongoing festive season.
Speaking on Tuesday, Mombasa Archdiocese Archbishop Martin Kivuva said that the rise of political temperatures has led to a series of events that are not needed especially at this festive season.
Kivuva urged leaders to preach a message of unity noting that time for politicking will come and the leaders will go back to their normal way of life.
“This is a time to humble ourselves and share the love of Christ with one another. Let’s for a moment put politics aside,” Archbishop Kivuva said according to Nation.
He also asked the leaders to spend their festive season in a productive manner so that they can be remembered in a positive manner.
He further asked the leaders to remember the less fortunate pointing out that actions such as visiting the sick and sharing food as well as other things with the less fortunate are good moves.
"It is a time to do good to humanity; visit the sick, share with the less fortunate members of our society and generally a season to show love to one another,” Kivuva said.
