Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, Wetangula said that he is serving his second term as a Senator after being elected through Ford Kenya, which is under NASA.  The senator argued that NASA is part of the Kenyan history and cannot be ignored at all.

“Legally, technically, NASA is still there.  I am serving my senate as a member of Ford Kenya, NASA. That is the union we have. Practically, NASA is part of our history…” he argued.

On the issue of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Wetangula said that he is fully behind the report as it was released. He underscored the need for leaders to educate the masses over the report to make more popular. The Senator said that he will only support a report that puts Kenyans first and not leadership positions.

He also said that change is inevitable, adding that leaders and the general public must be ready to be part of the change we are looking for as a nation. The legislator went ahead to dismiss claims that he received a call from the President before he opted to join other leaders at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega over the BBI report.
