Central Bank of Kenya Governor Dr Patrick Njoroge lauded two police officers, Mohamed Noor and Charles Githinji for rescuing an abandoned child.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Dr Njoroge appreciated the two for rescuing the innocent child. 

"At about 9:00pm last night, Police Officers Mohamed Noor & Charles Githinji of @CBKKenya Meru rescued a newborn baby abandoned in the bushes. Officer Noor took off his jacket and used it to carry the baby to hospital. I AM SO PROUD OF THESE OFFICERS! Pic via @hassanbajuun," he said.

The two police officers rescued the child on Tuesday evening. Their photo was shared on social media and many people lauded them for saving the child. 

Noor took off his police uniform jacket and covered the baby with it. The two took the child to a hospital. 

Kenyans came out to express their joy towards the officers' act of humanity.
