Kenyan gospel musician Guardian Angel recently revealed why he forgave his father despite growing up without his presence.
Speaking during an interview on Milele FM, the 'Hadithi' hitmaker claimed a sermon he heard in church pushed him to call his father and reunite with him.
According to the musician who was once a street kid, life was not easy growing with his mother alone in the slums. His mother, a professional nurse, currently resides in Canada.
He, however, explained that it was a commandment from the bible to respect his parents and he was thus, following what the scriptures say.
"My father (Baba yangu) I think yeye ndiye the most important part ya the story ya maisha yangu. Just a few months ago, was it two or three months ago? I heard a sermon somewhere and it touched me. I looked for my father personally. I called him and told him there are issues that you disagreed with my mother but you are still my father. So I want us to now live like I am your child and you are my father."
(Nilisikia sermon mahali yaan nikaskia imeni touch sana. Mimi mwenyewe nikamtafuta babangu. Nikampigia nikamwambia yaani kuna hizi issue isue kweli, wewe na matha hamkuelewana lakini wewe ni babangu. So me nataka kuanzia saa hii tukae ka mimi ni mtoto na wewe ni babangu)," he said.
