Political analyst Edward Kisiang'ani has opined that the fights being witnessed within the ruling Jubilee Party will not end anytime soon.
In an interview on K24 on Sunday, the commentator argued that the party will go to the 2022 polls divided, adding that the fights between the Embrace and Inua Mama women groups will also not end until 2022.
"The confrontation between Jubilee groupings — Tanga Tanga, Kieleweke, Team Embrace and Inua Mama — will continue until 2022," he said.
The party has been divided since President Uhuru Kenyatta's truce with ODM leader Raila Odinga, which has seen the Tanga Tanga and Inua Mama groups pledge support for Deputy President William Ruto.
This was one of the issues addressed when Uhuru met Mt Kenya politicians at the Sagana State Lodge on Friday, where he called for unity.
Kisiang'ani now says that Uhuru convened the meeting to reach a truce with the group, at a time when some members have openly defied him in favour of Ruto.
"The Sagana meeting was just a truce," he added.
The defiance has seen some of the Jubilee members openly refusing to heed Uhuru's anti-politicking directive, with others threatening to shoot down the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
