A top aide to Deputy President William Ruto has taken a swipe at a section of Building Bridges Initiative report proponents, accusing them of insincerity.
The two teams are set to share the podium on Saturday in Mombasa, something that could give the BBI campaigns a new dimension.
Emmanuel Talam, the Deputy Director of Communication in Ruto's office, wondered why the BBI proponents are scared of their decision.
"According to @JunetMohamed @SakajaJohnson and Hon Kanini, their version of BBI iko na wenyeji na wageni. Good to know. @kipmurkomen @OleItumbi @KIMANIICHUNGWAH," he said.
Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Tuesday said the Tangatanga brigade will be hosting parallel rallies for BBI, a move that has caused anxiety within BBI team.
Earlier on Wednesday, Junet Mohamed and a section of MPs had accused Tangatanga team of dishonesty.
"You cannot keep saying one thing today and you say a different thing tomorrow. Its really confusing Kenyans," Junet said.
While it's not clear why Tangatanga team changed heart, their presence in Mombasa could disorient the program given that it's already out.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has been spearheading Building Bridges Initiative campaigns across the country.
