The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati has maintained that no one has lodged an official complaint regarding violence in Kibra.
Chebukati, who officially opened the training for officials for the Kibra by-election slated for November 7 said that the poll agency will still do its investigations.
''IEBC Chairman @Wchebukati stated that the Commission has not received any formal complaint regarding the acts of violence witnessed on 27th Oct, 2019 in Kibra, but IEBC investigators are on the ground investigating the incidences,'' said Chebukati.
He warned anyone found culpable of instigating violence will be dealt with accordingly.
Chebukati's sentiments came days after Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and the party candidate for the Kibra parliamentary by-election Eliud Owalo were stoned in Kibra on Sunday.
On the same day, Ford Kenya and ODM supporters clashed over a rally venue.
The two incidences come days after Jubilee Party candidate McDonald Mariga's convoy also got pelted with stoned by angry Kibra youths.
Candidates and parties have been advised to carry out peaceful campaigns ahead of the much-awaited by-election in Kibra Constituency.
