The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua has warned DJs across the country.
In the latest episode of 'The Grill' streamed on Capital FM's YouTube channel on Friday, Mr Mutua said that DJs playing the 'Wamlambez' song risk arrest.
He warned that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) was on the lookout for anyone playing songs with sexual overtones in the presence of children.
"If any DJ is found playing 'Wamlambez' in a place where there are children, I can tell you the DCI are on the watch, we will arrest them," the KFCB boss said.
Dr Ezekiel Mutua's words come in the wake of the song done by the Sailors group being banned from being played in public places.
KFCB banned the song over what it described as the use of sexualised language not fit for children and with the potential of corrupting morals.
The song has, however, been restricted to be played in clubs where there are no children.
Members of the Sailors group decried the decision by KFCB, saying that the move will reduce their fortunes.
'Wamlambez' became a national anthem among the youths and a club-banger that enjoyed massive airplay and catapulted the Sailors group to national fame.
The move to ban it in public places has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans.
