Mwala sub-county police commander Ronald Kirui has promised to eradicate Bhang business in the sub-county before January next year.
Speaking in Masii, Kirui said that his officers will turn the sub-county upside down and ensure no dealer is left within the vicinity of the county.
He urged those engaging in the business to find alternative ways of making money before the law catches up with them.
"Christmas is approaching, leaders and residents have been complaint of bhang in Mwala. I want to tell you that by January no single dealer will be left in the area," said Kirui.
"Those in the business better start finding other ways of income and avoid jail because if you're caught you will be prosecuted," he added.
Kirui also warned those engaging in betting games to beware because they too won't be spared. He said that there are some few people doing the outlawed business in secret.
"Those conducting Chinese betting games alias 'Tunyonde' we are also coming for you. We have information about the places this business is going on and we will soon strike, we must clean up Mwala," he said.
Kirui spoke during the Mashujaa day celebrations in Masii on Thursday.
