In a span of 24 hours, ODM leader Raila Odinga has met three governors at his private office in Upper Hill, Nairobi. He has been hosting delegations since last year.
On Wednesday, Elgeyo-Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos was first to visit. He had decamped Tanga Tanga and had promised to work with Raila and Gideon Moi.
Hours later, Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja visited. He had gone to consult on the wrangles that has rocked his government with MCAs.
"Received a delegation from the county government of Taita Taveta led by their Governor @Sambojagranton who briefed me on challenges they are experiencing. I urged them to embrace dialogue with the county assembly so that service delivery to residents of the county is not hampered," he tweeted.
On Thursday, Mr Odinga hosted Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana at the same offices where the two discussed about food security.
The former premier also discussed with the county chief of evacuation of people from flood prone areas besides engaging on modern infrastructural development in the county.
"@RailaOdinga met a delegation from Tana River led by Governor Dhadho Godhana who briefed him on a program for land & settlement reforms the county is set to launch," wrote Philip Nyamai, a communication officer in Raila's office.
"The program will get people out of flood prone areas, provide modern housing and infrastructure in rural areas and free up land for agriculture," he added.
Mr Odinga is believed to be assembling a formidable 2022 team thus his frequent meetings at Capitol Hill. He has always targeted those from Mt Kenya and other unfriendly regions.
