According to the headteacher Hesborn Ngaira,  with a population of 230 registered candidates, 20 pupils managed to get  400 marks out of the possible 500 marks.

“I want to thank the almighty, Hill School community for giving us this exemplary performance. This is our best performance since the school was started," said Ngaira.

He said it was because of cooperation, teamwork between parents, teachers, and students that led to good results.

Victorine Jepngetich got 420 marks, Mwajuma Trevor 417 while Benjamin Mayieka got 414 marks out of 500.

Ngaira who spoke to the press at the school premises on Tuesday thanked the Ministry of Education for releasing the exams early for parents to start planning how to take their students to secondary school in January.

Ecla Obara, a 13-year-old who scored 409 marks said it was through hard work, determination and teamwork between parents, teachers, and students that made her perform well.

“I want to thank the almighty, teachers, parents and the headteacher for the encouragement and support they gave. I didn't expect such good results,” said Obara who wants to join Alliance Girls High School and thereafter be an aeronautical engineer.

Ngaira opined that they target a mean score of 400 marks in 2020.
