The county government of Uasin Gishu has officially received second lot of interns under 2-year internship programme.
The trainees were urged to exhibit high levels of professionalism during their internship period before being posted to various departments based on their specialization.
Joseph Maritim, Chief Officer and head of Youth Affairs and Sports asked the youths to be grateful for the vacancy and put their focus on doing the work to their best.
Maritim also urged the interns to relate well with the officers in charge and do their work well so as to build and earn a good reputation.
"...this is a perfect opportunity for you to gain work experience in your areas of specialization.you must maximise it by building good rapport and networking with as many organisations as possible,"he stated.
Ann Koech, Chief Officer Public Service Management noted that the internship programme was set to enable them to practically show what they learned in school.
The internship programme is set to take 2 months after which the interns are going to be absorbed by different organisations and companies the county had partnered with.
The programme is set to equip the interns with necessary skills which they can add to their CVs Making them competent in job markets.
