Nyamira Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi was on Thursday released from Nairobi Hospital after days of treatment, a family member has confirmed.
Mrs Momanyi was among those injured in Silverstone plane crash a couple of days ago and was admitted at Nairobi Hospital following arm injury.
She was heading to Lamu for fundraiser during the accident. Mrs Momanyi is serving her first term in parliament under the Jubilee party.
Ms Deborah Momanyi said the Woman Representative is recuperating well but it will take a little bit longer before she resumes duties.
According to her, doctors at Nairobi Hospital assured the family of stability before she was released from the facility on Thursday. It was her seventh day in hospital.
"She was discharged on Thursday but yet to fully recover. However, she's progressing well and there is no need for alarm," said Deborah, her last born.
"I can't guarantee the right time she would resume office but all I know is that it could take a little longer than we expected. Let's hope for the best."
It was the first major crash within the vicinity of Wilson Airport in Nairobi. The plane skidded off the runway causing a major scare within the airport.
Ms Momanyi is a close ally of Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i. She ditched Deputy President William Ruto's camp in June this year.
