An online war has emerged in Tanzanian entertainment industry.
Highly celebrated singer Diamond Platnumz has found himself on the receiving end with a Tanzanian media house, Clouds Media's presenter Diva.
Diamond and Clouds Media have been organizing shows to prove their superiority on who owns a large percentage of Tanzanian fans.
On Sunday, Clouds Media held its show dubbed Tico Fiesta 2019.
According to the event organizers led by presenter Diva, fans had shown up in their numbers. She shared a video on her Instagram page and revealed how things unfolded out in the show.
More so, Diva used a short clip from the movie of Jesus Christ to mock Diamond Platnumz. She used a piece where Peter denied Jesus, and in this case, Diamond was denied by own fans.
"Wait, are you not Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB)'s fan? But it is not me. (halafu, wewe sio shabiki wa WCB? Lakini si mimi)," the character in the movie responded to each other.
On the other hand, Diamond did not fail to hit back at his haters. He said they were using camera tricks to exaggerate the number of attenders to their shows.
Tico Fiesta 2019 brought together a number of artists who are not linked to Diamond's WCB.
Key names that performed at the show included first-timer Harmonize who recently ditched WCB to start own record label, Kondegang Worldwide.
