President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have been urged to end the infighting in Jubilee party.
Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui said they look upon the party leaders, Uhuru and Ruto, to stabilise the confusion in the party.
He said the political wrangles being witnessed in the ruling Jubilee party have threatened to split the political outfit.
Speaking on Saturday in Rongai sub-county during the burial of the Veteran Nakuru politician William Kiprop Komen, Kinyanjui said Uhuru and Ruto should hold talks with Jubilee members and end the political crisis.
He said leaders should concentrate on serving the people who elected them instead of engaging in politics.
“If there is an issue in the Jubilee Party, let’s sit and talk. I want to be counted among those leaders who focus on reconciliation and delivering to the electorate for my remaining term in office,” he said as quoted by standardmedia.co.ke.
The Governor also called for unity among elected leaders saying the leaders should shun divisive politics and work together in serving Kenyans and ensuring the government delivers its big four agenda.
“As politicians we should be committed to one course of uniting Kenyans,” added Governor Kinyanjui.
