Alego Usonga Member of Parliament Samuel Atandi has identified two things President Uhuru Kenyatta must urgently do after receiving the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report on Tuesday.
The ODM legislator opined that the president has become a lame duck, and challenged him to strive to regain control of his government as the person occupying the most powerful office in the country.
In a tweet on Sunday night, Atandi advised the president to reorganise his Cabinet and at the same time tame his deputy William Ruto.
He urged the Head of State to stop Ruto from visiting his Mt Kenya backyard in pretext of launching government projects and programmes.
Atandi further called for the use of BBI, which he claimed the DP was pouring scorn on, to be used to finish him politically.
"Uhuru Kenyatta should not accept to remain a lame duck President. After Tuesday, he must reconstitute his Cabinet, block DP Ruto from launching fake non-existent projects in Central Kenya. Statements attributable to Ruto on BBI-'bibi yao' should turn their bedroom upside down," he tweeted.
On Thursday, former Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando Wa Kabando expressed similar sentiments when he asked Uhuru to dissolve his Cabinet, and deal ruthlessly with unnamed people in his government, who he claimed were making him lame duck.
"Mr President Sir, let no charlatan or lackey lie to you. This country is bleeding economically. Kenyans everywhere are angry, frustrated and desperate. Dissolve your entire cabinet and start afresh. You’re the boss with SWORD, crash saboteurs. They’re making you lame duck," Kabando said.
