President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday held separate talks with Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Holness,  the Vice President of Cuba Ines Maria Chapman and President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

 During the meeting, the leaders deliberated on how they were going to improve their relationship in different sectors of the economy. 

"The President met his Congolese and Jamaican counterparts at State House, Nairobi during which the leaders explored opportunities for deepening bilateral relations," State House said in a tweet.

 Uhuru said that the cordial ties between Kenya and Cuba have benefitted the country's health sector.

"The President said through the health partnership, Kenyans are benefiting from specialized services offered by Cuban doctors in the Counties. He expressed Kenya's keenness on deepening relations with Cuba for the mutual benefit of the two countries, " State House said.

 The head of state assured the visiting leaders that the Kenyan government is fully behind any form of economic cooperation for the sake of its growth. 

He pledges to reach more countries for strong trade ties with them after the African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States Summit in Nairobi.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured that during the three-year tenure as Chair of the African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States, Kenya will work to promote and protect the interests of the bloc, State House communicated.
