Kenyan rapper Jackson Ngechu aka Prezzo recalled losing his father to cancer in an emotional post.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Prezzo revealed that his father died of cancer in 1993.
"I lost my Father Dr Morris Makini to cancer in 1993 & that's when I realized how deadly disease cancer is. Cancer is not one disease. It is a group of more than 100 different and distinctive diseases. That said, on the 28th September I will be joining Moses Loogos Cancer Foundation on their annual Lodwar cancer awareness race 2019," said Prezzo.
In his post, he stated that he will be attending a cancer awareness event to support the fight cancer victims.
This is not the first time Prezzo has spoken about his late father. In various events, he spoke highly about his late father, whom he believes would have been the president of Kenya if still alive.
Despite the loss of his father, Prezzo has remained close to his mother, whom he refers to as his best friend.
Cancer has claimed the lives of many people in Kenya. Just to mention but a few, former Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso, late Kibra MP Ken Okoth, and the former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore succumbed to cancer.
