Kisumu Governor Peter Anyang' Nyong'o has narrated how the rise to fame has affected the private life of his daughter Lupita Nyong'o.
In an exclusive interview with Citizen TV, the first term county boss said that the paparazzi and other Kenyans are ever on her daughter’s neck whenever she comes around.
The governor, also Former Kisumu Senator, said that the daughter often disguises herself in buibui whenever she visits the family so that she can get the peace of mind.
The county boss said that the life of the Oscar award winner has not been easy considering her fame. He said that she is ever fighting to hide her true identity
"Being a celebrity, she can't just come home like that. Otherwise, journalists will be all over her and she will not enjoy coming home for a short time to be with her family and friends," he remarked.
He also said that he inspired the Hollywood actress when she was rising to Stardom.
He further said that he was an amazing actor during his early years and children have decided to emulate the same. Lupita has been a role model to aspiring actress and actors. She defied all odds to win a Grammy award.
