Speaking on Monday when he delivered a Sh1 million cheque from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) meant for infrastructural improvement at Nyangweta SDA Secondary School, Osoro said education is his top priority in the constituency, adding that poverty can only be eradicated through education.

"I am committed to improving the learning environment for all learners across the constituency. As a leader, I have prioritised education so that the future generation in South Mugirango can not live in poverty," said Osoro.

He promised to continue allocating development funds from the CDF kitty to all public schools so that more classes can be build to accommodate the large number of learners.

Osoro commended the government for ensuring 100 per cent transition from primary schools to secondary school, saying education is the key to life.

"I'm happy with the way the Jubilee government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto followed their commitment to ensuring all class eight pupils join secondary school. I encourage parents in the constituency to ensure their children are enrolled in schools within the constituency for the sake of uplifting education standards," he added.
