Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has launched a scathing attack against Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Speaking on Saturday when he met a women empowerment Community-Based Organization at Maweni Primary School hall, Mohammed said Joho is sleeping on the job.
He said that the second-term governor has proven beyond doubt that he is a non-performer.
The lawmaker insisted time has come for Joho to tell the people what he has achieved so far since he entered the political arena.
The Nyali MP said that other governors are doing well but not Joho.
“What has he done for Mombasa. He has been a governor for over ten years. He has been a member of parliament for ten years. Name for me one major project he has done for the people of Mombasa County. I can tell you what Kivutha Kibwana is doing. I can tell you what Alfred Mutua is doing. I can tell you what Sonko is doing. I can tell you what many governors are doing. I can tell you as far as Mandera,” he said in part.
Ali added that the leaders from the region are no longer ready to tolerate poor governance and politics of conmanship. He further said billions cannot be accounted for by the county government.
“We reject the politics of conmanship and mediocrity in all its forms. When no one is willing to speak out against sheer incompetence, I will do.7yrs into devolution n billions of money pumped to Msa County, there is no concrete development to be seen. We must ask the hard questions (sic),” he tweeted.
