Ichung'wah was with Nyoro at the Royal Media offices where police camped in a bid to arrest him.

In a tweet, Ichung'wah claimed that some government officials are using their offices to harass others.

"#IstandwithNdindiNyoro. No amount of intimidation, coercion, harassment and political persecution will kill the spirit. State officers must not abuse their offices using State agencies to wage political wars however powerful they feel. State agencies at all times must be neutral and apolitical," he said.

However, Nyoro refused to surrender to the police who were waiting for him outside RMS offices in Hurlingham.

In his defense, he claimed that he wasn't sure if the people waiting for him outside the media house were police officers or thugs using police vehicles.

Nyoro was being sought by the police after he allegedly incited youths to chase away leaders allied to the Kieleweke camp at Gitui Catholic Church in Murang'a on Sunday.

During the service at the Church, Nyoro had clashed with nominated MP Maina Kamanda. The two disagreed on who is supposed to welcome other leaders to address the congregation.

The church had held a fundraiser to fund some projects at the church.
