Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of betraying the people of Kilifi County after 2017 General elections.
Jumwa has been at loggerheads with the ODM party following her decision to work with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of 2022 polls.
Speaking at Magarini on Friday, Jumwa accused Odinga of fielding nominations slot in Kilifi County Assembly with some people from Nyanza region.
Further, Jumwa said, Odinga rewarded his brother Oburu Oginga the East Africa Legislative Assembly seat despite having promised to give it to Kilifi.
"Amason Kingi knows some people were given nominations to assembly by Raila despite the fact that they are not locals," said Ms Jumwa.
"Kilifi was to get the EALA seat but Raila decided to award Oburu. We tried hard to help ODM here but we got nothing. It's a big shame," she said.
During the 2017 polls, ODM scooped all elective seats in Kilifi County. It's the only county which produced ODM leader including Jumwa.
After her ouster from the party, Mr Odinga asked her to apologise. However, High Court nullified her excommunication, arguing that due process wasn't followed.
“If a child asks to be pardoned you forgive them. Recently in our party, Suleiman Dori begged for forgiveness and we pardoned him… If Aisha Jumwa also pleads for forgiveness, we shall reconsider her fate.”
Ms Jumwa is positioning herself for the Kilifi gubernatorial seat. ODM legislators led by Owen Baya have been on her neck, plotting for forceful removal.
