Ebru TV has revealed through a press release that they did not have an easy relationship with popular comedian cum TV presenter Chipukeezy who recently indicated that he had resigned from the station.
In the press release, Ebru TV indicated that although they had worked with Chipukeezy for more than one year, their relationship had not been an easy one.
The press release was a response to Chipukeezy's resignation which had attracted the attention of Kenyans on social media with a good number of them criticising the station for terming the presence of Kartelo and other youths on The Chipukeezy show as 'ghetto'.
"We wish to clarify the issues that have been in the public eye. Chipukeezy has been part of the Ebru family for over a year and a half even though this has not been an easy relationship," part of the Ebru TV's press statement read.

A contrary statement shared by popular comedian Eric Omondi who is a close friend to Chipukeezy indicated that the TV presenter was being frustrated at the station. Eric Omondi went ahead to reveal that Chipukeezy had called him on several occasions while crying due to the frustrations.
Chipukeezy claimed he was left with no other option but to resign after the station demanded him to stop associating with Kartelo on the show.
