Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has weighed in on the controversy touched off by Willis Raburu's wife who renounced God after losing a baby.
"So as they say you should know God for yourself, I now can say I don't know Him. And I don't think I want to know Him cause He left me when I needed him the most," she was reported to have said.
In a reply to a Star Newspaper tweet that shared a quote of what Raburu had said Kabogo appeared to question the wisdom of renouncing God.
He urged her to go on her knees and direct her prayers to God.
"Kneel before him and say a genuine prayer. He is Alfa and Omega, " the former Kiambu county boss tweeted.
The top journalist's wife caused a storm on social media after her renunciation of God on her Instagram page.
Raburu himself announced a break from the screens to deal with the loss of his child as he strove to come to terms with his grief.
Scores of Kenyans shared their condolences to the couple in their difficult moment.
Others bashed Raburu's wife for her decision to renounce God, terming it shocking.
