A defiant Sossion was removed from the list of teachers after the  Labour court gave the commission a go ahead to kick him out.

Last week, the Labour court revealed that since Sossion joined politics, the commission had no issues deregistering from being one of them.

However, he has come out to dismiss this move terming it as inconsequential.

“The deregistration changes nothing,” he said.

Citing Article 34 (A) of the Labour Relations Act, Sossion insisted that his deregistration from the union didnt affect his position as the head of union.

He has received backing from the Central Organization of Trade Union (Cotu) Secretary General Francis Atwoli.

Mr Atwoli came out to ask TSC to stop intimidating Mr Sossion.

According to Atwoli, Sossion should retain his position as the Knut head and also as a nominated MP regardless of court orders.

“As Cotu, we wish to acknowledge that Mr Sossion holds a valid and legitimate position in the leadership of Knut. Equally, the ruling does not in any way affect the position  of secretary general as he is an elected leaders nominated and voted in by members of Knut,” said Mr Atwoli.
