Former radio presenter Ciku Muiruri has ruled out voting for ODM party leader Raila Odinga in the 2022 general election.
Ciku, who admits she voted for Jubilee in the 2017 polls, says President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have been a big letdown, but said she can't support Raila as an alternative.
The former Nation and Classic I05 FM presenter said the ODM boss should share blame with the Jubilee leadership, having 'joined' the government and in pushing for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which she described as a 'mess'.
"I still wouldn't vote for Raila. He is part of the problem with this BBI mess," said the host of the popular show 'Busted'.
"We voted UhuRuto. 1. You don't get to distance yourselves from each other. You're one and the same. 2. Raila works with government that has not lived up to election promises, makes him as bad as them. 3. BBI is simply creating more positions for all these selfish bastards," she tweeted on Sunday.
Ciku criticised the handshake between Uhuru and Raila, saying it has made the opposition to be pro-government by supporting projects such as BBI, which she claimed was all about creating positions for political bigwigs.
"BBI is a symptom of the problem. Instead of the opposition doing opposition-minded things and holding the govt to account, they are joined at the hip plotting how to create more positions as they continue to rubber stamp mediocrity," said the author of 'Love is But a Dream'.
