Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has vowed to sit down with Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka and discuss 2022 polls.
Speaking on Monday during the burial of mzee Enock Omariba Omanga at Motonto in Kitutu Chache North Constituency, Kisii County, Maangi described MP Onyonka as his brother.
“MP Onyonka is my brother. I wish to confirm that I am the Deputy headmaster. As the Deputy Headmaster I do not want I will not become the Headmaster if I do not seek support when the time comes," he noted.
He added; "I will call Onyonka we have a conversation my brother and agree ahead of the 2022 polls but for now let us work as united people to offer best services to our people."
Maangi praised the people of Kitutu Chache North for supporting his boss Governor James Ongwae during the 2013 and 2017 polls.
The Deputy Governor also sent a message of condolence from Deputy President William Ruto to the family of the deceased.
The late Mzee Omariba was the grandfather to South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro.
Also present at the burial were MP Richard Onyonka of Kitutu Chache South, MP Vincent Kemosi of West Mugirango, Bomachoge Chache MP Alfa Miruka and several MCAs.
