Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i has been challenged to continue making more trips to Nyamira and Kisii counties based on development.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro while speaking on Sunday at St. Theresa's Manga Parish in Kitutu Chache North said Matiang'i needs to visit Kisii and Nyamira counties to push for development.
Osoro who has been a strong critic of Matiang'i termed Friday's tour to Nyamira and Kisii counties a good sign.
"Matiang'i was in Gusiiland on Friday and I am happy that he is seeing some sense in matters development. Let him continue visiting Gusiiland to know what our people want more and push for development given that he is coordinating national government projects across the country," noted Osoro.
The youthful legislator argued that Matiang'i should be ready to take in criticism because he is a leader serving all Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliations.
According to Osoro, when he criticises Matiang'i, it does not mean that they are enemies.
"I should talk where I feel Matiang'i is bad and that does not mean we hate each other. Leaders need to take in all sorts of criticism and leave with them. I am also open to being criticised," said Osoro.
