Starlets will now face the winner between Botswana and Zambia in the fourth round.

After a first-leg scoreless tie against Black Queens last Friday in Accra, Ghana, both teams had all to play for during the second leg of the CAF Women Olympic qualifiers match staged on Tuesday evening at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.

The dreadlock continued after the first 45 minutes as both teams went on break unable to find the back of the net.

On resumption of the second half, both teams were nervous to concede and dent their chance for qualification, as Black Queens resulted to counter-attack while Starlets opted to tame their pace.

They opted for a cautious game that saw few shots, as each team managed only two shots on target with three corners each in a closely contested affair that saw the game end on barren draw thus, forcing the game into extra-time.

Super sub, Gentrix Shikangwa did not disappoint as she broke the deadlock nine minutes into the extra time to put Starlets in front with a 1 - 0 lead thanks to Black Queens' defender handling the ball in the penalty area from a resultant corner kick delivered by Sheril Andiba.

Starlets went on to thwart the Ghanaians pressure thanks to the formidable wall at the back led by goalie Annette Kundu and its defence line of captain Dorcas Shikobe, Vivian Nasaka and Wincate Kabati.
