A section of women groups in Kisii County has now listed a number of issues they want Deputy President William Ruto to solve for them as he visits the region on Thursday.
Speaking during a press conference in Kisii on Monday evening, the women called upon the DP to ensure that he finds time for them as he visits Kisii so that they can allay their concern.
According to the women under the Umbrella of Women for Development led by Rachael Mogusii, they believe in Jubilee government and they want DP Ruto to support them in their recently commenced fish farming projects.
“We have already started a fish farming project in the county and we believe if we receive support from the National Government, we will be able to empower the whole community,” said Mogusii.
Ruto is expected to visit Kisii County on Thursday where he will be attending a graduation ceremony at Gusii Institute of Technology and later meet various Gusii leaders.
His visit to Kisii comes few days after hosting a closed-door meeting with a delegation from Gusii community at his Karen home where they discussed a number of development issues as well as urged them to support Jubilee's kibra MP aspirant Macdonald Mariga.
