The family of the late lawyer Sammy Omutiti Anyanzwa who allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the eighth floor of a building has opened up on their last moments.
According to Jane Nekesa Anyanzwa, wife of the late lawyer, her husband never showed any signs of depression.
She noted that her husband acted normal, citing that she would have noticed if there was anything suspicious with him.
"When we talked, he was going to work. So he was happy for the day. Let me go to the court, we shall talk later (Wacha niende kortini, utaongea baadae). You know if you live with somebody you would know if they have any problem or anything but there was no problem. He was comfortable going to work. I would have detected anything if has anything, but he was at peace," Mrs Anyanzwa told KTN News.
The late lawyer's last born daughter on the other hand painfully recalled how she bid her father goodbye not knowing that she would not see him alive again.
"Usually in the morning, there is usually traffic so he is in a bit of a hurry to get to the office because of the traffic. So he left here at 7:20 am. And the last thing I told him was, I told him to have a good day daddy," she narrated amid tears.
Investigations into the circumstances that led to the lawyer falling from the eighth floor of Uhuru na Kazi building on Wednesday last week are ongoing
