Residents of Sensi ward in Kitutu Chache North have every reason to smile after Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi officially opened Nyabonge Dispensary on Saturday.
Addressing residents after the official launch, Matiang'i confirmed that the facility will start offering health services to locals immediately.
"Locals in Sensi will not be travelling far distances to Marani or Kisii town to seek medical attention. Nyabonge dispensary will now start operating immediately and offer medical services to locals," stated Matiang'i.
Matiang'i further assured that he will continue working with leaders in Kisii to bring development closer to people.
He also warned politicians against dragging politics into government projects noting that the electorates are tired of continued divisive.
"I urge all leaders irrespective of their political parties to unite and serve our people who gave us the opportunity. Too much politics must be kept off in government projects," noted Matiang'i.
Construction of Nyabonge Dispensary was started by Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka when Kitutu Chache was one constituency before it was split into two.
Matiang'i was accompanied by Kisii Governor James Ongwae, Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi and Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka among other local leaders.
