Speaking during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) at the Bomas of Kenya,  Uhuru said that the report is not about him or Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga.

He urged leaders to read the report before they can make the final decision on the same. He said that politicians have been one of the root causes of Kenya's problems.

"Let us now be mature. I appeal especially to the political class, don't divide the people... they don't deserve it," he said.

The head of state noted that he looks forward to that day when politicians will be allowed to campaign in different parts of the nation. He noted that tolerance is critical when it comes to the management of key issues.

"The day we will say we have won is the day when Raila is looking for a seat can go to Kiambu and he is given votes, If it is Ruto who is looking for votes he can go to Siaya then he is given votes, "he said.

(Siku ambayo tutasema tumeshinda ni siku ambayo kama Raila anatafuta kiti aende Kiambu na apewe kura kabisa. Kama ni Ruto anatafuta kiti, aende Siaya na apewe kura kabisa)
