A man in Nyamira County is reported to have been electrocuted to death while attempting to illegally connect the power.

Daily Nation reports that the late Kevin Nyaamba aged 25 was trying to connect the power using copper cables in Nyaigenda village when the tragedy occurred. 

He was struck by the power before being rushed to Nyamusi Sub-County Hospital where medics pronounced him dead on arrival. 

Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba confirmed that the body had suffered severe burns and that police were conducting investigations into the matter. 

"The body has already been moved to Nyamira County referral Hospital, while police have launched investigations," Mariba told Nation.
