In a tweet on Tuesday evening, the outspoken legislator questioned why the author of the fake report has got to be arrested.

"Now BBI says the report being circulated is 'Fake.' That it was not authored by the committee. Fair enough. Have they called for the arrest of the author of the 'Fake' document? Ama the PS is waiting for it to be posted on a TangaTanga WhatsApp group for arrests to be done?" said Mr Ichung'wa.

Ichung'wa appreciated the fact that the BBI committee, led by Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji came out to claim that the report doing rounds is fake. However, he questioned them why they haven't reported the matter to the police for possible arrests to be made.

He slammed the Interior Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho whether he is waiting for the report to be shared on the TangaTanga WhatsApp group before he could arrest its members.

This is after State House Digital and Diaspora Communication Director Dennis Itumbi got arrested for sharing a fake assassination letter plotting to take out Deputy President William Ruto to the WhatsApp group.

Mr Ichung'wa is among Tanga Tanga members, who has vowed his support for DP Ruto despite threats over his life from unknown people.
