The last few days have been very rough for the DP with his critics daring him to quit government for allegedly undermining the President.

However, according to Kang'ata, the DP is his own enemy for allegedly trying to outshine his boss.

The Murang'a Senator says that Dr Ruto has no option but to support the President, adding that fighting the head of state will be suicidal to the DP as the President has all the powers.

"He should support the President come what may. It is never wise to fight a boss who holds all levels of power. It is never wise to outshine your boss. Uhuru's powers have been enhanced, with the opposition now supporting him," he said.

Calls for Ruto to resign were intensified on Monday when MPs allied to the President and ODM leader Raila Odinga led by Nominated MP Maina Kamanda and National Assembly Minority whip Junet Mohamed, dared him to quit government if he was not happy with the President.
