Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo and acting Chief Officer for health Jack Magara are currently at Wyoming in the US to finalise talks with their hosts.

In a letter, Kamil Leman, the  President of  Prosthetics and Orthotics of Wyoming said that the firm aims at opening businesses in Africa, with Nyamira being center of interest.

The center, he said, sill help unlock potential African market besides opening opportunities in East and Central Africa for several clients.

"We shall host the Nyamira delegation led by Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo and two others. The firm intends to open the African market," read the letter seen by the writer.

"Prosthetic and orthotics products are relevant in the market that's why we are in talks with the Nyamira County government for the same."

Once established, the center will help those looking for artificial body parts such as limbs that are used during surgeries to give people a new lease of life.

Nyamira Health Minister Douglas Bosire says the county government is keen to expand the health facilities including through partnerships with investors.

"Currently, we are in the process of finishing construction of Sub County inpatient wards across the county. We are also working closely with our partners to expand health services," he said.

Also under construction is the 80-bed capacity amenity wing Doctors'Plaza which is set for completion at the end of 2019/20 financial year.
