“For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.” 2 Tim 1:7," the latest in a string of religious messages by the governing Jubilee senator reads.

Edwin Sifuna mused that the message was a sign of the end of times.

"Wow... People are becoming very religious... Its the end times (sic), " the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary-general  Edwin Sifuna wrote on Friday as he shared one of Murkomen's religious messages in a retweet on Friday.

Sifuna's mocking message comes on the heels of another scornful message sent by former Raila Odinga aide Silas Chepkeres Jakakimba who wrote:

"Chairman: What I've realized is that in the most (un)likely event this move (is it even one?) goes through, you can be a very good pastor outside politics. The Lord maybe calling you to Higher duties - to His duties in the pulpit. What with the many Verses lately."

The leader of the majority in the Senate's religious messages come in the wake of sustained media reports of the tribulations that the Deputy President Dr William Ruto and his allies are going through.
