President Uhuru Kenyatta has called for peace and harmony among Kenyans in his message to the nation as it celebrates Christmas holidays.
Uhuru on Wednesday stressed on the need for Kenyans to embrace qualities that will help the nation realise its prosperity dream and success in the fight against graft.
He further thanked religious leaders for their contribution in the push for national unity, remarks he made at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Nyali, Mombasa County.
Uhuru, who was accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and members of the first family, wished Kenyans a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2022.
On his side, Deputy President William Ruto who is on holiday Southern Africa called upon Kenyans to observe law and order during the festive season.
"We should be law abiding citizens. We need to reflect on the year that was and plan for a bigger and better 2020. And pray for God's blessings upon our country and our families now and in the days ahead," he said.
He also urged Kenyans to use the festive season to reach out and reunite with family and friends.
