Political analyst Dismas Mokua has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta is using ODM leader Raila Odinga to hide his poor performance.
Speaking on Sunday, he observed that the confusion in the party after Raila's entrance last year could be part of Uhuru's plan to shift the attention of Kenyans from his poor score sheet.
He said that the former Premier's closeness to the President is a plot to intensify his fights with a section of the ruling Jubilee Party members, and Uhuru successfully pushed him in.
The other arms of the party, he said, is the government itself and the Head of State, noting that Uhuru's leadership is now divided into parts A, B and C, with his blessings.
"There is Jubilee A, Jubilee B and Jubilee C. Jubilee A is Jubilee in government, then there is Jubilee in opposition and then Jubilee C is President Kenyatta where he sits," he said.
The commentator made the remarks on KTN's Inside Politics show on Sunday.
He said that through the fights, Uhuru and his leadership and happily coming out as victims of the fights, which is in turn fooling the Kenyans expecting development from him.
However, he observed that the games are directly affecting the common Kenyans and the entire nation as well, as the economy continues suffering.
"The elephant in the room is; the economy is not performing. So all this shenanigans from Jubilee is to confuse Kenyans," he added.
Raila has been involved in verbal exchanges with forces around Deputy President William Ruto who claim that he is out to destroy the Jubilee party ahead of the 2022 polls.
