For instance, junk foods are bad for your children and you should avoid giving them at all cost as opined by Bethany Thayer, MS, RD, a Detroit nutritionist and spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association (ADA).

"Give the body junk food, and the brain is certainly going to suffer," says Bethany as quoted on webmd.

Parents will get to learn the foods that are not only nutritious but important to their kids. 

Here are the food groups that make a baby grow faster;

 1. Fruits and vegetables

Growing bodies need vitamins and minerals. Be sure of giving your child enough fruits and veggies daily to boost his/her health. Good examples of such foods include sweet potatoes, bananas, avocado and carrots. 

2. Meats and eggs

They are a source of protein and lack of it can automatically lead to kwashiorkor. This can be prevented by giving your child enough proteins. Meats and eggs are known as bodybuilding foods and thus good for children.

 3. Dairy

Examples include milk, cheese, yoghurt and such. Giving him one glass of milk on a daily basis will be such a great idea. They are highly packed with calcium which touts strong bones and teeth in juveniles.
