Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has lashed out at Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) campaigners for 'neglecting' the participation of Deputy President William Ruto in popularising the report.
The firebrand lawmaker on Tuesday poked holes into the debate on the BBI report citing that it is now being politicised.
He maintained that it is important to rope in the DP in the BBI conversation.
''On the BBI and the enabling political environment, the measures announced are very much welcome. The only additional input is to advise all and sundry that for BBI to work, the involvement, active participation and respect for the Deputy President William Ruto is not a ‘Nice to Have’ ; It is a ‘Must Have’. Its not an option. It is an imperative. Otherwise the BBI will be dead on arrival,'' read part of Moses Kuria's Tuesday post.
Last week, Ruto poked holes into the BBI forums, sentiments that have since stirred a political debate.
''When did this change to leaders organising political mobilisation forums so as to read the report for the people?"
''This is a new twist. No one is opposed to the BBI. Why this campaign and what is it about? Is it aimed at misusing public funds?" posed DP Ruto while addressing Vihiga residents on Friday.
The BBI extension according to President Uhuru was to enable Kenyans to read and understand the report before its implementation.
