Raymond, whose brother Gideon Moi is the Kanu party leader, said the independence party remains a strong side, and will play a major role in the 2022 presidential election.

Speaking in Nakuru County on Saturday, the legislator noted that the party will make a declaration on the route to take at the right time, calling upon politicians to focus on development for now.

“Kanu is still strong, 2022 is still far. Let us work, but let’s speak development,” said Raymond during a burial ceremony in Ngata area.

The event was attended by a host of other leaders including Samburu West MP Naisuula Lesuuda, and Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot.

Lesuuda used the opportunity to fire shots at Kandara MP Alice Wahome over her recent attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta, finding her attacks disrespectful.

According to her, Wahome should look for better ways to address the president. She also called upon Kenyans to pray for the Head of State.

“Let’s join hands and pray for the President. As women we need to respect him,” she said.
