Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has accused Deputy President William Ruto of frustrating President Uhuru Kenyatta as he seeks to leave behind a legacy.
In an interview on NTV's Am Live show, Otiende said the president and his deputy ought to speak in one language, but that is not the case.
He said time has come for the two leaders to find ways of uniting for the sake of economic growth of this country.
He noted that it is sad to realize that the DP, who is considered as one of the front-runners for the Presidency, has been concentrating on issues that do not matter.
“You cannot have a situation where the president, who is the De Facto leader has taken a certain route and then his deputy is opposing,” he said.
He wondered why the allies of the DP are always linked to different sagas including hate speech.
"I will always be with those who want progression. Why is it that those who coalesce around DP Ruto are almost those who are either guilty of hate speech, or mentioned in mega corruption scandals?” he posed.
