Thirdway Alliance Party leader Ekuru Aukot has said that the outfit that he leads will not take its views to the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Writing on Twitter on Monday in response to a social media user who sought to know whether Aukot would present himself to the BBI committee, the Punguza Mizigo chief exponent said that he would not do that.
"Can you decide to take the #PMK proposals to the #BBI committee for the views to be incorporated into one document?" the social media user asked.
"You can take this to the bank: our kind of views, which benefit majority Kenyans can never be accommodated by those folks. Secondly, we cannot go before an illegitimate body that disregards the constitutional process on how to amend the constitution. #PMK is following the law, " Dr Aukot said in his response.
Dr Aukot announced a few days ago that his Punguza Mizigo Initiative would be revived in the coming days.
The initiative failed to attract the support of the county assemblies in spite of causing quite a star among the Kenyan public.
Through the initiative, Dr Aukot sought to reduce the burden of representation that the Kenyan taxpayer has been saddled with.
