Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has said the reason why there is a huge turn out in BBI rallies is because many Kenyans are jobless and idle.
While speaking at Mama Ngina waterfall on Saturday, Murkomen challenged leaders that Kenyans are not attending their rallies because they wish to do so, but because they don't have any other thing to do that can keep them engaged and busy.
"In other parts of the world, I have studied in the United States, if you want to hold a rally in the US, you cannot do it during the day, because all the youths are working. If you want to hold a rally, you hold it at night. (Mimi nimesoma mpaka America, ukitaka kufanya rally America huwezi fanya mchana watu wamejaa hii, kwa sababu vijana wote wako kazini, ukitaka kufanya rally unafanya usiku)," Murkomen said.
He urged Kenyan leaders to secure jobs for the youths so that rallies can only be held at night when youths have returned from their jobs.
"I want a Kenya where if you call a rally during the day, nobody will come because everyone will be employed," the Senate Majority Leader reiterated.
He urged leaders to stop stating the problems that Kenyans have and start giving solutions to them.
