In a tweet, Etale asked why the second in command could not deliver his constituency seat during the 2017 general election. The ODM politician said that it is unfortunate that Ruto claims he is influential yet his backyard is ruled by an ODM member of parliament.

“If Ruto is serious about Jubilee party, how come his own MP in the village is an Independent Member?” Hon. Dennis Waweru,” he tweeted on Sunday.

Ruto has expressed interest in succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta upon the completion of his second term in office.

The DP is banking on the support of the President to win the votes from the Mt Kenya region as he anticipates to beat his rivals with a landslide when that time comes.

The handshake between Uhuru and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Amolo Odinga has complicated matters for Ruto.

Despite the new found love between the two leaders, Ruto has remained unfazed over his Presidential bid.

He has been making inroads in Mt Kenya, Coast and Western region as he looks forward to getting the support he needs to emerge victorious in the race for power.
