In an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, he said that the results of the outcome of the 2017 parliamentary race in Ruiru did not reflect the will of the people.

He insisted that he read some malice in the process. Mwaura said that the poll was marred by all sorts of illegalities and irregularities that saw him lose the contest.

“I was rigged out, in the last elections. Some of those that vie for political seats, have votes but not the system,” he said.

He also said that he is the one who confirmed the existence of cracks in Jubilee, adding that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto were great friends until ODM leader Raila Odinga came into the equation.

“First and foremost, I am the one who confirmed the existence of TangaTanga and Kieleweke when nobody wanted to talk about it last year July. And I also said in January that Jubilee is a big tent that had two sets of polls. "

"One called Uhuru and another one called Ruto but there is a camel in the name of Raila that came in and tore the tent apart that is exactly what happened... Are you listening to Kieleweke team or are you listening to TangaTanga team? Both of these two teams are likely to lose because they have no monopoly over ambition in politics,” he said in part.
