Shollei on Tuesday in an interview with Citizen TV held that hard times being experienced in the country will push Kenyans into revolution in the near future. “If people continue becoming poor and the economy failing, there will be a revolution in this country. It doesn’t matter who will be president or not president,” Shollei noted.According to Shollei, the State should focus on pressing matters and not the referendum debate that has taken over the political stage.“We have many problems in Kenya. We have security problems, the other day Lamu was hit in the military base, we have locusts, our dairy farmers are crying, our tea farmers are crying, coffee and maize farmers are crying, tourism is affected, the economy is going bad," she added. She said that correcting these problems will require every government ministry to put its best foot forward in alleviating hardships that fall under it.On the referendum debate, Shollei proposed that it be held concurrently with the 2022 polls."Every time we have an election, our economy slumps. We are still recovering from the last two elections. If we must have a referendum question, then why don't we do it in 2022 together with the general elections?" she posed.
